Altiverb 7.4.2 Update Released

Audio Ease released Altiverb 7 for Mac. The plugin has been updated to version 7.4.2. This new Altiverb version ensures compatibility with the latest macOS 10.15 (Catalina). Some things changed in this new version, for instance the installer for Mac and some of the default locations. There also is an option now to download the core IR set directly from the plug-in.

The Altiverb plug-in for Windows remains on version 7.3.5 currently, however of course all new IRs are also available Altiverb 7.3.5 on Windows.

Altiverb 7.4.2 download is 7 GB, instead of doing this inside your DAW you can of course also choose to download the first time full installer from https://www.audioease.com/download/

Installing Guidance

Here’s an overview of all new default file locations on macOS (for new installs):

default core IR set location now is
/Users/Shared/Altiverb/IR
default Third Party IR library now is
/Users/Shared/Altiverb/Third Party IR Libraries
User presets default to
/Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/Altiverb/User Presets
