Can A Single DAW Function Change Your Entire Workflow?

Whenever I see a discussion about using lots of sample libraries, memory problems or orchestral templates, I am surprised how many people don’t know about a simple command called “disable tracks.”

Please keep in mind that I’ve used Cubase in this video, but this also works the same way in Studio One. Besides that, I think it is obvious that you are still limited by your physical RAM depending on how many active instruments you use. Additionally, using a solid-state drive (SSD) can improve the overall performance of your digital audio workstation (DAW) as well. Despite these software and hardware limitations, there are still benefits of mixing on headphones, such as better isolation and a more focused listening experience.
