In 2019 we spent the last two days in Madrid before heading to Kuala Lumpur. We visited the Opera, Plaza de San Miguel, Plaza Mayor and a small restaurant. It was December and only a few days away from Christmas.

As expected at the time, the people’s spirit and the mood were very festive. Tourists from all over the world and locals roamed the streets in Madrid together and I am glad that I was able to record and archive these moments. Our whole life and behavior has changed…and with it, the soundscape has changed as well.
