Rings Into Clouds …

I recently added a second Rings to my lab. I was wondering how using two Rings modules would add to a patch. Looking back, using VCV rack would have been cheaper to find out but that would only lead to the same conclusion. Understanding grain production and how different modules interact with each other is essential in modular synthesis. Adding a second Rings module allows for more complex and layered textures to be created within a patch. Additionally, it opens up the potential for exploring different signal routing and modulation possibilities, ultimately enhancing the overall sound design capabilities of the modular setup.

I’ve created a big feedback loop with two Rings/Clouds chains and then feeding the result back into Rings’ inputs. It’s a big ring, resonating itself. Indeed, at the beginning, it just sounded predictable, but closer to the end it became huge sound design fun. There’s a lot of uncharted territory hiding in these modules.
