Episode 03 | Separation

An important step in the transition from a Shuttle into the ‘Spaceship’ is separating the modules from the big 84 HP faceplate. So this video is about turning an integrated Shuttle System into a Shuttle Modular. A lot of work, but nothing special. However, this gives a lot of new possibilities. I also tried to use Cockpit in ‘mono’ mode (set by jumpers on the back) and cranked up the trimmers so I could use it as an ‘in modular’ mixer for audio and CV. It worked!

It’s hard to make music while disassembling modules, so this video features a Nina Simone cover I did with great Jazz singer Irina from the UK. It’s called ‘My BB just cares for me’, also featuring the BB8 droid emulated by Native Instruments’ Razor VST. The BB8 in the thumbnail is my radio controlled mini robot, so no copyrights are harmed.
