Perfperc – Volume III wraps up the Perfperc series with large set of extensively-sampled toms and more, all through the lens of a repetition-based, performance-sourced sampling approach.
The library’s highlight is fifteen toms – 4 low, 4 mid, 4 high, and 3 roto – laid out across the stage, and sampled with a very wide dynamic range (up to fifteen dynamics) and multiple speeds of repetitions. All that multiplied by at least 3 mallet types. There is also an assortment of kick drums and untraditionally sampled cymbals (i.e. hitting the bell while muted — which sounds like an anvil).
