Rum – Room Simulator – Meet your Original Roommate
Rum – Room Simulator
Klevgrand released a new sound effect plugin: Rum – Room Simulator. Klevgrand started by looking into their own recording and mixing processes, trying to come up with tools that we’ll use ourselves. And Rum – Room Simulator will definitely be a frequently used plug-in. Rum is a room simulator, specialized in small rooms (‘Rum’ is simply Swedish for ‘Room’). It has a wide arrange of rooms, from acoustically treated studio booths to spaces found in an ordinary home.
- 10 different rooms with 6 variants each
- 3 different types of stereo spread algorithms
- Modulation control
- Ducker (compression) for the wet signal
- Pre-delay with tempo synchronization
- Low cut and high cut filters
- Plenty of factory presets
When recording, a common technique is to have an additional stereo pair of microphones in the same room, but from a distance. This can be useful to make a close-miked setting feel more alive and dynamic. But for various reasons (time / budget / laziness), the stereo pair often isn’t available when you need it. This is where Rum gets in..!
Pricing and Availability
Rum – Room Simulator is available now for an intro price (For a limited time only until 2021-09-30)

Klevgrand’s STARK Updated to Version 1.0.3
STARK Updated to Version 1.0.3
Klevgrand’s STARK is an amplifier simulator consisting of four modules: Amplifier, Cabinet, Room, and a Pedalboard. The modules are treating audio separately, which gives it possible to combine different amplifiers with different cabinets and rooms.
What separates STARK from other amp simulators is that the cab, amp, and ambiance modules are built on Klevgrand’s very own algorithms that don’t involve any convolution or FFT analysis. This approach renders a more natural response to dynamics over the whole frequency spectrum, plus the ability to fine-tune each profile in ways that just isn’t possible when using convolving methods.
New in STARK v1.0.3
Updated preset system (with user preset support)
Native ARM support for macOS (M1 processor)
Updated to development framework to JUCE v6
Minimum macOS version 10.10
STARK now has native ARM support (M1 Macs) which means it’ll run a bit faster. All our other products will be updated during the next couple of days.

Klevgrand updates LUXE v1.1.1
LUXE v1.1.1
LUXE, an audio enhancing plug-in effect available for iPad (AUv3) and Mac & Windows (AU/VST/AAX). It has been designed and developed by Klevgrand, a small studio in Stockholm, Sweden. LUXE compresses and saturates an audio signal in a quite subtle but musical way. It’s very useful for making a track “fit in the mix” and can be used on anything from a
drum bus to a vocal track.
New in LUXE v1.1.1
- Native ARM support for macOS (M1 processor)
- Updated to development framework to JUCE v6
- Minimum macOS version 10.10
