About Mimi Page
Mimi Page is a singer, songwriter, and composer born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Her cinematic music and ethereal, angelic vocals have been featured in a multitude of popular titles and platforms, including network television shows, video games, film scores, solo albums, and multi-genre artist collaborations. Mimi’s music is a transformative and emotionally captivating experience. While her unique sound compliments visual media, it also inspires listeners to go inward and explore the expansiveness of their imagination.
After experimenting with reverb and delay, Mimi learned how to properly layer multiple vocal harmonies and create what has ultimately become her unique sound: A gentle choir, otherworldly and peaceful, and the perfect compliment to the instrumental music she’d been building for years.
The Electronic Music community has also embraced Mimi’s sound and ethereal vocals and, to date, she has collaborated with over 30 artists in the genre, including Bassnectar, Delerium, Conjure One, Seven Lions and Illenium. SoundIron has released since a while ago an easy to use download and install tool for all their libraries. You can use the tool to download and install the library. This library requires Kontakt 6 (Player or Full) and OSX 10.12 or Win 7 and later.

Mimi is thrilled to finally share what has become the culmination all her work and efforts to date: Soundiron’s Mimi Page: Light and Shadow Vocal Library. After years of utilizing her voice as an instrument within her own work, Mimi became inspired to create a virtual instrument that everybody could potentially work with.
Her original concept of “Light and Shadow” began with her desire to express the creative range within her art, and, on a larger scale, the emotional range we all possess as human beings. While her breathy, ethereal tone can be used to create smooth and angelic sounds, with the right manipulation, it can also become haunting, melancholy, and even scary. In addition to the hundreds of vocal samples and phrases in the Light and Shadow library, Mimi’s created dozens of ambient pads and drones, all hand-crafted from her voice.
Utilizing time-stretching, manipulation, and heavy processing, each drone is a compliment to the overall otherworldly aesthetic of the library. While retaining her unique sound and signature ethereal quality, the versatility of the library gives the user the ability to add depth and diversity to every genre of music, whether it be Fantasy/Sci-Fi, Horror, New Age, Classical, Electronic Music, Ambient, or Hip Hop. Whatever the project, Light and Shadow’s sounds have the potential to bring life, depth, and a bit of magic to the final product.
The virtual library was recorded in a slightly dry environment. That allows you to add reverb to fit it perfectly into your score and composition. Dry libraries like this one have the benefit of being flexible to fit into the mood and scene vibe that you require.
With the overall more than 4000 samples, you have access to unique vocal sounds all living and breathing from the broad range of Mimi’s voice. The included Ethereal Dreamscapes crossing from Angelic to Demonic tones and vibes. Light and Shadow are jointly in this library. You can compose a lovely positive track or dive into brutal darkness with this vocals.

User interface & Usability
SoundIron has a defining Style for their library that makes that easy to use. With the added large FX Rack (compression, delay, filter, EQ, amp/speaker, and reverb) you can shape the sound further. I am a big fan of taking the sound also into 3rd party effect tools part of your DAW to create unique sounds.
