Installation
You receive WAV format files. it is a 8GB download, unpacked 12.6GB as 46 x 24bit 96kHz stereo .WAV files
Sound
To be able to record the TANK RESONATOR the producing company HISS and a ROAR used a custom built 1m x 1.2m massive tank. Tim Prebble the key person behind HISS and a ROAR worked with a local welder to enhance the tank into the TANK RESONATOR.
Sound recorded are impacts & percussion, bowed, scraped and several phrases.
With tools like AudioFinder, you can browse through the WAV files. You can for example in your DAW slice up the files into different samples. One easy way to do this would be Serato Sample which can import the whole sample and offers you playable slices. Serato Sample is mainly used for generating samples when you “make beats” however for sound design it is a great tool to use.
When you isolated the needed sounds you would process the audio through additional plugins in your DAW, a great developer for such tools is Audio Damage.
