Particle patching has never been smaller. 2hp latest module Grain is now available! A high fidelity audio processor focused on granular synthesis. It’s able to create granular clouds, microsound phrases, and novel textures that are obtained from any input signal.
You may have heard about Granular Synthesis and looked into the larger module like Beads. Beads is a new take on the popular Mutable Instruments Clouds module. The original Clouds was designed for live granular processing of an incoming audio signal, and the new Beads keeps this concept intact. However, the hardware and software have been completely redesigned, resulting in a module that is more powerful and user-friendly. Some of the key features include a broader sound palette, more control over parameters, and direct access to exciting new features. This makes Beads an ideal choice for anyone looking for a high-quality granular processor.
The Density control sets the rate of granularization applied to the input signal and sets its position within the buffer. The Mix control sets the balance between live input and the granular audio stream for dialing in the perfect combination of sounds. In addition, there is a frequency control and associated v/oct input allowing for pitch accurate sequencing of grains. Particle patching has never been smaller with Grain.

Comb is an IIR peaking comb filter with control over cutoff frequency, resonance that can be driven into self oscillation, and a dampening filter in the feedback path.
Comp is a high fidelity compressor featuring numerous controls and a sidechain input. Dial in the perfect compression setting with separate threshold and ratio knobs. Control voltage input for FREQ
Control voltage is added to the knob position
Range: ±5V - FREQ:
Sets cutoff frequency that is inversely proportional to delay time.
A cutoff frequency of 500Hz equals a delay time of 2ms. - RES CV INPUT:

Sets the feedback amount of the delay line which controls the amplitude of the
resonant peaks - DAMP CV INPUT:

Sets the cutoff frequency of a 1-pole filter within the feedback path
If the knob is far left, dampening is fully applied and the filter will have a darker tone
If the knob is far right, no dampening is applied and the filter will have a brighter tone - OUT:
