Marsaxlokk Open Fish Market Ambience

As promised the very first sound library from Malta is released and free to download

NOTE:
Quick note for Windows users. If you have issues open some of my files, this is because Windows has a character limit of 250. Bandcamp puts the title and library name in front of each file. I highly recommend you using the good old Total Commander. You can shorten the files in no time and start importing the sounds in any DAW without any issues.

▽ ▽About the market sound library▽ ▽

Every Sunday morning people travel to the picturesque fishing village of Marsaxlokk to buy fish and other daily products like vegetables or clothing. I arrived between 9:00 am and 10:00 am. It was windy, cloudy and to my surprise very busy.

I wasn’t expecting so many people but for ambience recordings it’s just perfect. After leaving the car, I walked along the coast and recorded sounds at 12 different locations.

Whats sounds are recorded:
-fishermen repairing the fishnet
-seaside wave splash at the pier
-walla in different languages including Italian, English, and Malti
-behind the fish vendors, in front of the vendors, and between the visitors
-people bargain with the sellers and creating a lively and authentic atmosphere
-in front and behind of vegetable and clothing stores
-a couple of distance car pass by

If you’re looking for market ambience from Malta or overall market soundscapes including different European languages, this sound library has you covered.
Everything was recorded with two Sennheiser MKH 8040 and the Zoom F6.
