Silver Screen Toolkit
Silver Screen Toolkit published by Instant Sonics is a Kontakt library for the composer working on cinematic music, including film and game, soundtracks, trailer cues, and ads. Instant Sonics did send a review copy with no strings attached. Silver Screen Toolkit includes effects, pulses, drums, and melodic instruments.
Installation
After purchase either on gumroad via the developer when you buy direct or alternative through Kontakt Hub. After purchase, you receive the full library, after download you only need to unpack it. The full version of Kontakt 5.8.0 is required, this library does not work with the free Kontakt Player.
Sound
Silver Screen Toolkit is a characteristic sound design library which contains bends, booms, hits, drops, whoosh, ornaments, tension builders, drumkit, rhythms and much more.
The library is overall 4.5GB of sample data in Kontakt and WAV format. For a composer working on trailers, this library has a broad mix and range of sounds, great to access all sounds needed when you compose for a trailer.

User interface & Usability
The interface is primary and very easy to use. Central navigation through the content is made by loading one of the more than 40 included Kontakt files. An included preset browser would have been helpful or alternative to combine the material into a hand full of categorized data.

For a first release, you can get away with the sheer amount of Kontakt files you can load. I would expect the developer to include a browser to reduce the Kontakt patches to one or less than four.
Silver Screen Toolkit by Instant Sonics Review Sound Banks
The integration did partially happen in some instruments where you can select in the patch a different category, instead of having sounds mapped across the keyboard.
The interface contains three parts – Waveform, General and Effects.
Waveform
The waveform section shows you the actual waveform of the last played sample.
General
The general section includes essential controls, for example:
- Attack – adjusts, fade-in time of volume
- Release – changes fade-out time of amount after releasing a key
- Speed – improves the speed of sample playback. You can turn it off to achieve better sound quality
- Gate – controls the intensity of a rectangle gate effect. By clicking the white triangle you can choose the rate of the gate
- Glide (in Instruments) – controls the magnitude of the glide/portamento effect
- Offset (in Instruments) – adjusts the start point of sample playback. Replaces the dragged cursor on the waveform
- Slice shape (in Pulses) – adjusts the envelope of loop slices from sharp to soft
Effects
The included effects give you some millage, with these libraries you get the most out of them if you use additional third-party effect tools.
Rating: Three out of five stars
Silver Screen Toolkit includes an impressive variety of content. To use the material, you would need to add some third-party plugins to enhance the tone and vibe. The vast array of content gives this library the high rating. The Interface is essential, and the usability can be improved. Looking beyond the Interface and many patches you get this library for the total content. Other producer split the included content across several libraries.
The Hybrid Elements CORE pack by Master Sampling contains 4GB+ of content and more than 1400 high-quality samples.

This is the ultimate collection for scoring with a wide variety of Hits, Swipes, Effects, Soundscapes, Percussion Pads Drones, and more! With this pack, you will be able to create your own unique soundscape that will take your productions to the next level!
Wanna hear something really cool?
This library has got the deepest, most thunderous drums around! Check out all those impacts and drones. You’ll be in awe when they’re panned at high volumes on your speakers or headphones – just don’t tell anyone else because they might think you get off on violence (even if it is artificial).
Soundscapes
The Hybrid Elements CORE pack by Master Sampling also includes a wide variety of Soundscapes, perfect for adding emotion and tension to your music. Whether you need pulsing pads to build up the energy or dark and brooding soundscapes to create a tense atmosphere, this pack has you covered!
The soundscapes range from dark to textured with some risers here too- but not very many downers this time around which will make things less dreary than usual during those rough days…

The Hybrid Elements CORE library is a modern sound design toolkit specifically designed for the needs of movie music. It’s perfect if you’re looking to create action-packed themes or liner notes in minutes instead of hours!

I did have the opportunity for some days to practice with Symphonic Elements STRIIIINGS and it is a charming library packed with absolutely perfectly recorded phrases, textures, and sound beds that drive the desired emotion of a track or scene on the big screen. The possible themes span from more traditional orchestral film scores to multiple hybrid instruments making Symphonic Elements STRIIIINGS also perfect for a score for a trailer or an ad. Did I mention that you also get fitting percussive sounds? Symphonic Elements STRIIIINGS is wonderful and extensively versatile for your next score.
With this release, UJAM upholds its mission to let composers write and produce with instruments that they don’t play – by inventing instrument concepts that make them easy to use, without sacrificing the professional result.
