Shared System Tutorials – Sound Design – Making drum & FX libraries

Hi All, we’ve covered the basics of most modules by now. The most important lesson in this chapter is to make noise from scratch. With still a few chapters to go, it’s now time to focus on music production value.

The Shared System may provide many hours of patching fun, but it’s also sound design heaven. In my humble opinion, this is where the modular can provide a huge benefit. You can’t create presets on a modular, but most PC presets are made – or inspired by – modular technology. Nothing’s really new on a PC, but on a modular, chances are you’ll find something that’s never done before.
