TMT | Future Bass Synth Patch | Serum Tutorial | Xfer Records

The dream synthesizer did not seem to exist: a wavetable synthesizer with a truly high-quality sound, visual and creative workflow-oriented interface to make creating and altering sounds fun instead of tedious, and the ability to “go deep” when desired – to create / import / edit / morph wavetables, and manipulate these on playback in real-time.

In this Two Minute Tuesday video tutorial, Joshua Casper will show you how to get a massive Future Bass / Future Pop style Synth Lead patch (Pad) in Serum Xfer Wavetable Synth (Affiliate Link) by Xfer Records. The patch is extremely easy to create and can be found in all manner of pop recordings making the rounds on the internet and in the clubs.

The coolest thing about this patch is how easy it is to do in Serum Xfer Wavetable Synth (Affiliate Link) and any other synth and fully demonstrates that you don’t need to spend hours on hours on every sound design session to get great results.

It is one Oscillator (OSC) using a saw wave with the unison cranked up to 16. Then simply use an LFO to modulate a low pass filter’s cutoff over time. Most “Future Bass” tracks have chords that last roughly half-a-bar, so use that as a guide for how long the LFO should last.

Then the rest is making small changes to get a bit better sound. However, all of the heavy liftings is done by the above. Watch the full video tutorial to see how easy it really is.

This patch and tutorial was inspired by one of the presets in the Future Pop & Vocals sample pack from IQ Samples.
