Landscape’s O/O Touch Patching for Banana Modular Systems
2025
Pre-Order Landscape’s O/O Touch Patching for Banana Modular Systems
Landscape just opened up the pre-order for O/O; banana modular system touch patching kits. These DIY kits allow you to make touchable shorting bars and touchpoints similar to AllFlesh. (AllFlesh is a patching system for modular systems. It’s a new way to interact, perform and control, yielding new results and new sounds not possible without the subtleties of human touch and gestural expression. You are the patch cords: you transfer modulation, your fingers are multiples, you are attenuation, you bend pitches with finger pressure, you transfer sequences from oscillator to oscillator, you transfer triggers from voices to voice.)
However, O/O can still be used stacked with other banana cables. Kits can be assembled easily without soldering although adding some solder to the top and bottom where the plugs connect will increase conductivity. We can start shipping once the remainder of parts arrive but are planning for an end of July shipping day.
The first run of Soundwich (complete) units are sold out but batch #2 pre-order has opened up as well. Landscape is finishing up shipping out the remainder of the first run tomorrow. DIY kit versions are available much sooner for anyone wanting to try their hand at surface mount.
As of last month, we began donating 10% of our online sales to Activation Residency to help fund their mission of supporting QTBIPOC front line activists and artists. You can also donate directly on their site. Landscape getting ready to send off some instruments for use by this year’s (yet to be nominated) artists.
1. AllFlesh style expressive touch patching using your body and hands as patch cables between two (or many more) points in your system. Unlike AllFlesh for 3.5mm systems O/O allows for stacking of other cables.
2. Traditional shorting bar.
3. Touchable shorting bar configuration for systems which accept this standard (ie. Buchla Music Easel). Touch in tandem with other singular plug style configurations.
The kit supplies you with 10 golden touch plates and 15 golden jacks which when assembled can give you 5 shorting bars and 5 touch points depending on your needs.

AE Modular goes DIY for Superbooth@home 2020
AE Modular is Introducing the BRAEDBOARD Module and DIY Kit
BRAEDBOARD
The BRAEDBOARD (no typo!) contains a breadboard area for solderless electronics prototyping so you can experiment with any kind of analog or digital electronics and make your first steps into electronics, starting with simple circuits for beginners to developing your own module.
- The left sockets make all bus signals available (CV, Gate, control, MIDI strt/stop/clock) and can be patched directly from here into your circuit
- The leftmost row of the upper breadboard (the red one) is connected to +5V
- The leftmost row of the lower breadboard (the black one) is connected to ground
- The right sockets contain two units of the usual output resistor of 1k
BRAEDBOARD Module Contains
- The module itself, completely assembled
- A bunch of breadboard wires
- Resistors (10 of each): 1k, 4,7k, 10k, 47k, 100k
- Capacitors (5 of each): 1nF, 10nF, 100nF
- Electrolytic capacitors (2 of each): 10uF, 100uF
- 10 diodes 1N4148
- 10 LEDs red
- 2 transistors NPN (BC547)
- 2 transistors PNP (BC557)
- 2 MCP602 Dual Op-Amp
- 2 NE555 classic timer/oscillator chip
- 2 CD4017 counter
- 2 CD4051 analog switches
- 2 CD40106 Schmitt triggers/inverters
- Plugin-board with 2 potentiometers 50k
- 5 tactile switches
DIY kit
The DIY kit for AE Modular contains all necessary parts to make an AE style module out of your circuit.
The DIY kit requires basic soldering skills; also, you should have the usual tools available for making an electronics board, like soldering station, wire cutter, small pliers, etc.
It contains PCB, front panel, three potentiometers/switches/LEDs, patch sockets, and all mechanical parts. The Kit is designed as a 2-PCB-layer module: The upper PCB carries the pots, switches, etc. and the lower part is a stripboard/perf board where you can solder your circuit.
The connection between both PCBs is made by two multi-pin connectors that make all items on the top PCB accessible at the lower one. So you have some free space for the components of your circuit and can directly connect them here to the according to pins of the control elements.
The PCB for your circuit is included in two versions: First, a stripboard version with +5V and ground in the center, and a perfboard with simple solderpads in 2.54mm grid.
The front panel has prepared cutouts for all items and you can easily break out the ones you effectively need for your module.
What is next for AE Modular: QUANTIZER & VCADSR are being made ready for production runs and will be released in a few week’s time. Later SWITCHMATRIX 4×4 and FELIQUENCER are scheduled for release.SAMPLE PLAYER, DRONE63, TRIP, MIXCONSOLE, and CVBANK are as well in development.
Freak Full DIY kit
Freak is the perfect filter for the people that cannot decide which Eurorack filter to buy. Now you don’t have to make a decision because you can have them all.
Filters included:
- Tangents: Steiner-Parker filter (three variations, LP, HP, BP).
- Lateralus: Ladder filter (6, 12, 8 and 24dB options)
- Nurage: Low pass gate/Borg filter
- Ferox: CMOS filter (LP, HP, BP, Notch)
- Vortex: Russian filter (LP, BP)
- Stabile: State-Variable filter (LP, HP, BP)
- Unstabile Circuit bent State-Variable filter (LP, HP, BP)
- Vorg: MS-20 style filter (LP, HP)
- Rescomb: Resonant Comb filter (Comb+ and Comb-)
- Boomstick: Sallen-Key filter (LP)
The kit comes partially assembled, all the Surface Mount Components are already soldered and the microcontroller comes pre-programmed. You only have to solder Through-Hole components and mount the knobs to start using your filter. The build instructions will be available when the module starts shipping.
Freak is a stereo digital filter that runs most of Vult’s Virtual Analog models. This filter has the power of simulating more than 13 analog filters (and some digital). Every model was meticulously developed to capture the soul of the original circuit and make it efficient so it simulates in real-time inside this 12 HP device.
Availability and Shipping
The Freak full DIY kit is available only on pre-order. Shipping starts in November. Full DIY kit allows you to build your own Freak filter. There is also a assembled version you can purchase.
