The mod wheel has been set up as an inverse swell-pedal that peaks at the low and high ends yet drops to zero at 50% movement. With a little practice, this may be used to add some stuttering to the sounds by wiggling the wheel around this mark.

ENHANCED PIANO FOR KONTAKT 6

Eighty-eight individual piano strings have been sampled from A-1 to C7 and then overlaid note by note with an atmospheric orchestral tail-off.

A long release creates a more interesting almost synth-like resonance that can be layered into deep textural ambiances utilizing the onboard effects. Each has its own dedicated page accessible via a tab at the bottom of the GUI. The full version of Kontakt 6 is required.

Flintpope launches REICHIAN V2

REICHIAN is an unusual rhythm maker for REAKTOR 6 that doesn’t use drums. It is almost as if minimalist composer Steve Reich (and not the therapist Wilhelm Reich) started working in Acid House. Thanks to the blocks makers who invented the Dattoro Reverb and the Resonating Wood Oscillator, the latter which lends a distinctive percussive clank when needed.

REICHIAN Version 2 features 48 presets (including the original 24) reached by double-clicking “Embedded” in the presets side-pane.

It also features a cleaner, annotated GUI that follows the signal flow and the modwheel is now wired to FM and preset B (user setting). All tempos have been set to 104 bpm across the instrument but like everything else in a Blocks ensemble it is up to the user to do what they like with it.
