MODO DRUM by IK Multimedia
MODO DRUM is IK’s first physical modeling drum virtual instrument. Using a powerful combination of modal synthesis and advanced sampling, MODO DRUM gives you the most deeply customizable virtual drum kits ever. I did already install MODO DRUM and have had a first play with the drum plugin. My first impression is very positive, look for our review in September.
IK Multimedia included some leading and helpful features. For example the possibility to fine-tune the playing style. Finetune the sound of the snare depending which hands hit it. The used beater on the kick, the sticks used in a performance. To dialin the room you need to add the sound, I did first not hear a change when I selected a new room, but dialing it in to the mix (make it wet) made it happen.
