MaxforLive plug-in Bandswitch is an audio effect that splits the incoming signal into three bands and processes them independently
Modulate the Amplitude (Tremolo) or Panning Position
When it comes to audio production, there are a variety of ways to shape the sound of your tracks. One common method is to use EQ to adjust the frequency balance of a sound.
However, EQ can also be used to create effects such as changing the apparent position of a sound in the stereo field, or making a sound appear to move back and forth between left and right. This technique is known as modulation, and it can be used to add interest and depth to a track.
By modulating the amplitude or panning position of each band, you can create unique rhythmic patterns that can add movement and energy to your music. In addition, the modulation’s form can also be altered, giving you even more control over the sound of your tracks.
You may change the amplitude (tremolo) and panning position of each band. The modulation’s form can also be altered and the gain and an overdrive process. Furthermore, you have the option of adding vibrato to each band.
LFO Modulation
The modulation rate determines how fast the effect cycles through the different frequencies. It can be set by an LFO, and two dedicated LFOs can modulate the cross frequencies between bands. This allows for a wide range of sound possibilities, from subtle warbling to extreme pitch shifting.
The modulation depth controls how much the effect alters the sound, and this determines how much of the affected signal is mixed with the dry signal. By experimenting with these controls, you can create a wide variety of unique sounds. The modulation rate may be set by an LFO, and two dedicated LFOs can modulate the cross frequencies between bands.
Feedback Processing
The sound that a person makes when they speak or sing is generated by the vibration of their vocal cords. These vibrations are then amplified by the person’s mouth, nose, and throat before they reach the air. Once the sound waves reach the air, they are able to travel to the ears of other people.
However, the sound waves can also be affected by various objects and materials along the way. For example, a person standing in front of a brick wall will produce a different sound than if they were standing in front of a wooden fence. This is because the brick wall will reflect some of the sound waves while the wooden fence will absorb them. By routing each band of sound to its own delay line, it is possible to create a more realistic simulation of the way sound travels.
Each band is then routed to its own delay line with feedback for further processing after the Modulation/Distortion/Pitchshifing stage. The delay period can also be changed dynamically. You may change the amplitude (tremolo) and panning position of each band.

SEMPLER PRO
Sempler PRO is a polyphonic sample playback instrument, designed to create complex patterns by performing simple actions. The whole device is exclusively driven by its integrated sequencer, which among other parameters allows to set a different starting point, size, pitch, level and delay amount for every single step. Each configuration will then produce a continuous stream of fragments, played one after the other to generate a unique arrangement that results from the combination of these little pieces and bits of audio.
Part of Sempler’s magic resides on the uncertainty factor that surrounds its behavior and defines the state of its most important parameters. These random functions make it very easy to produce a whole blast of ideas with only the need of a few simple operations.
An extra set of parameters reflect other global aspects of the instrument and help to shape each pattern even further. These control the sequence length, speed and direction, the envelopes that affect every fragment and voice amplitude, and a group of functions dedicated to the Frequency Modulation, Echo and Filter sections.
MAIN FEATURES AND FUNCTIONS

CONTROL PACK
The Control Pack is a collection of three MaxforLive Devices designed by NOISS COKO, developer of the best selling Modulation Pack.
Consisting of three MaxforLive Devices, CC Manager, CC Random and Random (The Audio Device Version of CC Random) this pack is designed to bring new level of control and randomisation over External Instruments and Ableton Live Parameters.
CC MANAGER
CC Manager is a helpful MIDI effect, capable of sending up to eighteen MIDI Control Change messages, mainly used as modulation source for external devices such as synthesizers, drum machines, samplers, and any other instrument that enables remote control through Control Change, Program Change or Pitch Bend messages.
Equally useful for both live and studio performance, this device offers an alternative interface for situations where multiple parameters from one or more instruments require simultaneous modulation; when these changes must be extremely precise; or if they are just too complex to be played by hand. For all these scenarios CC Manager presents a different solution, allowing the automation of each parameter using clips inside Live.
Besides the main uses described above, CC Manager works also as a bridge between Live and other programs, since MIDI Control Change messages could be sent outside Live in order to control another audio or video software. An essential part of the Control Pack!
CC RANDOM
CC Random is a simple but versatile MIDI effect that offers a new and different approach to randomness. It generates patterns from a limited group of values, used to produce real time modulations over external devices or any parameter inside Live. From a maximum of eight possible values to choose from, CC Random creates aleatory combinations depending on a set of parameters that add more or less variations to the sequence.
Do you know what a MIDI Control Change message is? This specific type of message is used by CC Random to remotely control parameters from other instruments and effects. Most of the time this is referred to external devices, but in some cases it could be applied over parameters from instruments inside Live. For every case it’s recommended to read the user manual from the specific device you are trying to control, in order to know what Control Change number is assigned to each single parameter.
RANDOM
The final device in the Control Pack is Random (the audio effect version of CC Random), a simple but versatile device that offers a new and different approach to randomness. It generates patterns from a limited group of values, used to produce real time modulations over any parameter inside Live. From a maximum of eight possible values to choose from, Random creates aleatory combinations depending on a set of parameters that add more or less variations to the sequence
MODULATION PACK
FM DELAY
FM Delay is a stereo delay effect that offers individual time control for each channel, also including two oscillators as modulation source for both left and right values. Time and rate are expressed using different unit styles, such as musical notes, note durations (sync) or milliseconds/Hz.
This device covers a wide range of creative needs, besides being a classic delay effect, working as a completely versatile tool that could be applied to all kind of instruments and sounds. Using low modulation frequencies, it’s easy to produce clear tones that result in deeper and intense bass sounds. Higher values will add harmonic richness and overtones to the signal, similar to an overdrive or even a bitcrusher effect.
AM MODULE
AM Module is a versatile and useful device that can be used to create auto panning, tremolo or amplitude modulation effects. It offers four different modulation waveforms and several ways to determine its frequency, covering a wide range that extends from 0.01 Hz to 12.500 Hz.
Medium-high rate values will add overtones and harmonic richness to the signal, creating a classic AM effect that could be applied to percussions, synths, or any desired instrument.
While working on sync mode, rate values will be synchronized with Live’s global tempo, allowing to generate rhythmic modulation patterns from pad or string sounds. A chain of two, three or more modules with different configurations, could be used to create polyrhythmic patterns and more complex results.
AM CHAIN
AM Chain is an audio effect that uses four modulation layers, where amplitude modulation frequencies are only defined using musical notes. For instance, if the selected note is A3, its frequency will be equal to 440 Hz.
Each layer has its own level, amount and rate configuration. Their individual outputs can also be routed to the next layer before going directly to the main output.
DELAY CHAIN
Delay Chain is an audio effect that uses four delay layers, where time values are only defined using musical notes. For instance, if the selected note is A3/440 Hz, time will be equal to 2.27 ms, which corresponds to its period.
Add notes and chords to percussive sounds or compose complex patterns by setting a group of simple automations.
Each layer has its own level, feedback and time configuration. Their individual outputs can also be routed to the next layer before going directly to the main output.
