Mosaic Keys & Mosaic Voices by Heavyocity Review
We are reviewing today two inspirational and energetic instruments for scoring to Picture, Ads, Games and music creation. With Mosaic Keys & Mosaic Voices both produced and developed by Heavyocity, we are looking at the start of a new instruments series from Heavyocity.
About Heavyocity
Heavyocity is a collective of pro composers and sound designers with a mission to create world-class virtual instruments for today’s modern composer and sound designer. Installation
Installation is easy with Heavyocity Portal tool. After you entered the serial (received on purchase) the download starts. I did run the download overnight and coming back to my MAC in the morning the download was halted and I did need to resume it.
Sound
Mosaic Keys and Mosaic Voices targets professional composers who are working Ad, film and gaming score. Producing music both libraries are an excellent addition to your loops and samples. Expectations in the composer’s community are always high when Heavyocity releases a new unique cinematic instrument and sound library. Mosaic Keys and Mosaic Voices are the first two initial Kontakt libraries part of the launched Mosaic Series by Heavyocity.
Mosaic Series
In both Mosaic instrument, you can blend three sounds. Each layer can be mangled and shaped to produce a vibe that is calm for those scenes when everyone is happy and relaxed or you can produce dark unveiling sounds for war scenes or when the talent survives in an apocalyptic dark world. The sound be it happy or dark is always of cinematic quality. Both libraries are excellent musical and completing sound sources and instruments that can be shaped to what is required to support the picture.
Mosaic Voices
With Mosaic Voices, you have access to male and female singer in one library. You can really use them as a human singer and take the vibe into a hybrid – perfect for modern trailer composing. Creating hybrid textures or ambiances is very easy, the produced staccato lines are really shining and are great.

Mosaic Keys
With Mosaic Keys, you get a mellow collection of sound, and there are the Rough or so-called Gritty snapshots. Mosaic Keys comes with plenty of musical, creative and motivating presets. Mosaic Keys is really valuable and just fits in a mix. The instruments sound exceptional organic, lush or rough using the Gritty presets.

Getting from A to B Quickly
With all the included presets both libraries offer you a large collection of sounds and mood matching presets. When you quickly step through the presets you can be certain to find a matching or almost there sound. Alternative you need to reach out to choir or keys library and invest the time to shape the sound which will be more time-consuming. Time is short on any composers project so having access to a large presets and ready to go sounds is golden for any producer or composer.
User interface & Usability
The concept of the MOSAIC Interface is similar for all instruments in the MOSAIC series. There are six main pages of controls for the MOSAIC instrument (Mixer, Control, Options, ARP, Marco Seq, Master FX). The six pages are covered in detail with a supplied manual that is very well written.
In the UI you can quickly shape sounds or assign recorded samples into up to three slots that are blended together. The three sound layers can independently animated with the ARP tools.
Rating: Five Out of Five Stars
Mosaic Keys & Mosaic Voices comes with a very distinct sound that works very well with different moods you need to compose for matching the scene and emotion that are injected into the audience mind. Both Mosaic libraries allow you to support the mood of deep oppression or terror scenes, or when needed positive vibes. In these days you need always to come up with dangerous, cold and sad scores until the film industry changes you are well set with these two libraries. I look forward after this strong entry into the new Mosaic Series to the upcoming additional Mosaic library for Kontakt.
