Endorphin.es Furthrrrr Generator – Godspeed

In this series I use the Shared System as a utility case, and replace the DPO with something exotic. In Part 01 we used the E-RM Polygogo. This time, the DPO is abducted by the Endorphin.es Furthrrrr Generator (FG). On paper, the FG is a close relative to the DPO and the Buchla 259 offering plenty of FM, a mod bus, amplitude & ring modulation, etc.

This is not a tutorial and since this was a first patch experience I can hardly call it a demo. It’s field research and getting to know each other a bit. The FG can use a fully analog setup, but can also fit a ‘strong zero core’ offering thru zero FM. This is a type of linear FM where the pitch remains unaffected unless you mangle it. Godspeed+ is included as a third oscillator.

This one comes with a strong zero core on board so I had to try it with the FG. However, I was also wondering what would happen if I installed the obsolete analog core back into the ‘brainless’ Godspeed. It works – kind of – but you’ll lose all the fun stuff that makes Godspeed special. So I guess I’ll have to order another strong zero core. I also want to know what would happen if FG had two digital oscillators :). But that will be featured in a forthcoming new series called ‘Endorphin.es Spaceship’. The Shuttle is huge fun, but then my ‘custom’ Spaceship setup will be interstellar. I will document the build, my progress, hints, tips, and tutorials.
