After spending two years on YouTube, I did my first live gig ever with the modular at the Uncloud Festival in Utrecht. Unfortunately, it wasn’t filmed so I had to glue some visuals together with some phone footage from the audience and great photos shot by Paulus van Dorsten (by-pauluz on insta).
The audio, however, is very good coming straight from the mixing desk. So I also like to thank Mike Bink for some great engineering and Allert Aalders from SonarTraffic to make all this happen. Finally a big thanks to the Uncloud team. Uncloud is an annual art exhibition and this year was themed ‘Transliminal’, the ‘in between phase’ where in due to the pandemic and the impact on normal life. We’re unsure what the future brings and we all feel it. So my set is totally inspired by transition, change and hiding out in isolation. To add to the mood, Uncloud was hosted by the Pieter Baan Center, an abandoned prison for the insane criminal.
Madi is my Abbey Road Institute classmate. She’s a great singer, plays many instruments and she’s a wonderful person. The set wouldn’t be the same without her.
