Tim Prebble who runs HISSandaROAR just released a GEO Ambience Library
Tim Prebble and the team started recording this ambiance library back in 2010 and each time HISSandaROAR visited New Zealand’s active geothermal area they would research and record new locations.
HISSandaROAR’s first aim was to capture sulfurous mud pools, ranging in activity and intensity from boiling and erupting mud pools through to individual fumaroles.
Next, they targetted Wairakei Geothermal Power Plant, with its endless steam pipes, and vents. Lastly while staying in Rotorua we discovered the onsen/geothermal hot pool in our hotel was fed from the depths via a spluttering, almost vocal supply of steaming hot water.
