From my point of view 8Dio Equinox: Hybrid Action Tools is a fabulous Kontakt library to generate touching, driving and rhythmic hybrid pattern. There are many hybrid libraries in the market. 8Dio always takes it a step further as with Equinox which is an excellent illustration of how you can design a new hybrid rhythm scoring instrument and be different. Besides the patterns which are really the reason, you want this library 8Dio included new fully playable Giga-Horns (a.k.a Mega-horns), Hits, Bend-Basses, Cinematic Clocks, and 808 based patterns.
Content
From a content point of view, all the required elements are included to produce moving aggressive patterns. Equinox includes so-called 20 Hybrid Super Kits with support both Velocity and Round-Robin, customizable tonal Giga-Horns, and our new groove generator. 8Dio included a pulse generator that produces tonal (BPM-synced) pulses. Troels Folmann guides yous in the video below how you can use Equinox to produce pulsing layers with the library.
This Kontakt library adds value to anyone who needs to produce a score or underscore an Ad or trailer. Composer and Filmmakers who need to add energy and push to an action scene will find many uses in this tool. To be different add some of your own unique sounds. You can produce that uniqueness by using additional third-party effects tools and stack them with several layers of the included Kontakt Instruments.
Probability Engine
8Dio is ejecting their Probability Engine into this library. The Probability Engine allows and guides you to immediately randomize all layers within an instrument. This new engine is a refreshing approach where you use instead of preset or snapshots the complex randomization that generates useful results for you.

Equinox supports Meta-Data tagging. 8Dio has tagged the included WAV files, you can use additional tools like AudioFinder or SoundMiner to search for specific sounds across all your sounds.
Look and Feel
The UI is similar to other libraries from 8Dio. Easy to use and gets you to results quickly. AS I do see so many libraries these days I appreciate that 8Dio groups their libraries by more or less fixed design guidance which makes them overall easier to use.
Lionel Schmitt – The Beauty Of Destruction
I want to point out Lionel and his composition The Beauty Of Destruction which uses heavy different components of Equinox to showcase who well this library integrates into a track. Lionel is a composer of cinematic music, living in Germany. Lionel composed the track in Cubase totally over 300 tracks.
