This library is designed for the full retail version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.8 or later. You install the library with the easy to use Connect download and install tool. Built for the full Kontakt sample player, MAP contains over 6,000 sounds and instrument presets.

Sample Logic & Soundiron have teamed up and introduced a Kontakt based drum machine: Modern Animated Percussion (MAP). MAP offers a rhythmic sequencing concept to generate cinematic percussive sounds. Two of my preferred companies collaborating on a percussive library, that sounds already very exciting to me.
What makes this library different from combining 4 loops is that the samples are aligned and played in concert by the arpeggiator and added sound effects. The sequencers allow you to build amazing moving swings. You can generate simple or very complex rhythm instantly. Equipped with over 4,000 unique percussive audio samples and nearly 2,000 presets, MAP has been carefully programmed using Sample Logic’s proprietary 4-core engine. Every instrument preset includes four sound cores, respectively powered by an autonomous drum machine working in tandem to trigger four different sounds at once.
From EDM to world percussion, Sample Logic and SoundIron wanted to cover a large range of use when composing. Modern Animated Percussion can produce cues at an extraordinary pace, still offering you the flexibility to create percussive sounds that are unique to you.
User interface & Usability
The intuitive design and programming possibilities enable you to start with one of the many preset and adjust it where needed. The selected Interface works in an amazingly effective fashion. Also, use the random function to generate out of the blue a great sounding percussive track.
Through the UI you have access to additional per track effects which enable you to further shape the rhythmic timbres and tones.
I am always a fan of one single patch where you can load in the Kontakt patch instruments that you mix up with the help of an internal browser. MAP has this feature included and that is a big pro for me.
