The Loop Designer in Damage Drum Kit features a remarkable amount of creativity-inducing options and capabilities.
One of the most unique and impactful features is the inclusion of three different categories of drum loops: organic, hybrid, and damaged. The way in which the loops are categorized allows for a great deal of flexibility and playability when it comes to creating new music.
The organic category contains straight loops that are perfect for creating a natural-sounding foundation for a track. The hybrid category contains triplet loops that add a touch of complexity and energy to a track.
Finally, the damaged category contains warped and distorted loops that can be used to create an experimental or modern sound. damage Drum Kit’s Loop Designer is truly a one-of-a-kind tool for music producers.
Damage Drum Kit Designer
The Damage Drum Kit is the perfect tool for creating custom grooves and drum sounds. With its 16-voice layout, you can quickly and easily create your own unique drum kit.
The 25 Custom-designed Kits are perfect for any style of music, and the intuitive browser makes it easy to load in your sound sources. The independent FX chains for every voice allow you to add compression, reverb, saturation, and more to each of the 16 voices. With the Damage Drum Kit, you can easily create the perfect drum sound for any situation.
Ensemble Designer
The Damage Drum Kit and its Ensemble Designer is the perfect tool for any musician looking to create realistic drum patterns and percussive sounds. With its intuitive browser, you can load 120+ sources in octave banks and individual sounds, making it easy to find the perfect sound for your track.
The updated Stage 3D positioning allows you to place your drums in a realistic virtual environment, and the five discrete mic positions (Close, Room, Hall, LFE, and analog CRUSH) give you a versatile range of sounds to work with.
The Punish Knob has been redesigned with three unique flavors (Gently Now, Hurt Me Plenty, Nightmare), so you can create the perfect balance of power and subtlety in your drumming. And with the new Ensemble Designer, you can create your own unique drum ensembles to use in your tracks.
As any musician knows, the right instruments are essential for creating the perfect sound. And when it comes to drums, there’s no shortage of options to choose from.
But with so many choices, it can be hard to know where to start. That’s where the Ensemble Designer comes in. With over 120 different sound sources to choose from, it’s easy to create a truly unique drum kit that perfectly suits your style.
The Drum Kit Designer offers a unique and creative approach to drum programming that allows you to create your own, truly unique drum kits.
With the 16 velocity-sensitive trigger pads, you can assign any sound from the source sound pool to one of the pads. Each pad features its own array of effects and processing options, so you can create your own, truly unique drum kits.
You can even move around the effects chain to your liking or copy and paste a chain you like to another pad. This gives you the ability to create drum kits that are truly your own and that capture your own personal style.
Whether you’re looking for a traditional rock setup or something a little more eclectic, the Ensemble Designer has you covered. So if you’re serious about making great music, be sure to check out the Ensemble Designer. It just might be the perfect tool for you.
Punish, Mix and Shape in Master FX
The Master FX section is one of the most powerful features of the drum sound effect system. It allows you to add a final layer of polish and fine-tune all of your sounds. The processors are chained together in a channel strip-like fashion and can be rearranged in any order.
This gives you incredible flexibility in how you sculpt your sound. In addition, the Master FX page features a dedicated wet/dry mix control, which allows you to dial in the perfect balance of processed and unprocessed sound. Whether you’re looking for a subtle enhancement or radical transformation, the Master FX section provides everything you need.
The Master FX section also features the Punish knob you may know from Damage 2. By combining compression and saturation, the Punish knob can gradually add warmth and bite to a sound or completely wreak havoc when pushed to the max. The Punish knob offers three dedicated working modes called “Gently now”, “Hurt me plenty”, and “Nightmare”.
As one can guess from their names, these modes add increasing degrees of destruction from a warm punch to massive aggression.
In “Gently now” mode, the knob adds a subtle amount of distortion that can give a sound some extra body and presence. “Hurt me plenty” mode ups the ante with more intense compression and saturation, resulting in a more aggressive sound. Finally, “Nightmare” mode pushes the knob to its limits, creating a sound that is distortion-heavy and extremely powerful.
Whether you want to add a little bit of grit to your sound or completely destroy it, the Punish knob is sure to offer something for everyone.
Start Quickly to Compose
Although the drum sounds were programmed so that each drum piece is heard at the position it was recorded in the studio, you can completely change the positioning and perceived depth of any sound with Stage control.
Each sound is represented by a little circle you can move around to the left and right as well as to the front and back of the virtual sound stage. Depending on the position of a sound on the front-back axis, the balance of microphone positions changes to represent your setting.
This is another great way to achieve creative and unusual results. By moving a sound forward or backward, you can make it stand out in the mix, or place it further back in the sonic picture.
Stage Control
You can also use the Stage control to the width of the stereo image. For example, if you want a wide, spacious sound, you would move all of the sounds toward the edges of the stage.
Conversely, if you want a tighter, more focused sound, you would keep the sounds closer to the center. Experimenting with the Stage control is a great way to add interest and dimension to your drum tracks.
Damage Drum Kit Main Engine
The main engine of the Damage Drum Kit is comprised of three separate engines, or “Designers”, that can be loaded as Kontakt patches: The Ensemble Designer, the Kit Designer, and the Loop Designer.
Each of these Designers has a unique purpose and offers a different set of options for customizing your sound. The Ensemble Designer lets you create drum kits from scratch using a wide variety of samples, while the Kit Designer provides premade kits that can be tweaked to your liking.
Finally, the Loop Designer allows you to create your own drum loops using the included samples or your own personal library. Regardless of which Designer you use, you’ll have full control over each individual element of your kit, from the pitch and volume to the decay and reverb.
With so many options at your disposal, the possibilities are nearly endless. So whatever kind of sound you’re looking for, Damage Drum Kit has you covered.

There’s something special about the sound of film scores. They’re often minimalist, relying on a few simple elements to create an atmosphere of tension or suspense. And while some composers rely heavily on synthetic sounds, others prefer to use more organic materials, such as glass or metal.
But what if you could create your cinematic soundscapes using nothing more than everyday objects? With a bit of imagination, anything can become a musical instrument. Washers and dryers can create a pulse, while garbage cans and empty bottles can add texture and depth. So the next time you’re looking for a unique top layer to your music, don’t be afraid to get creative with your junk percussion.

So what are you waiting for? Go check out Chocolate Audio’s Drum Particles today!
Multi-Output Management in Kontakt
Kontakt is a powerful tool for managing audio, but it can initially be confusing. Each instrument can access any internal channel to address any connection to the outside world. This flexibility is excellent, but it can also be a bit daunting. With so many options, getting lost amid all the controls is easy. However, once you get the hang of it, Kontakt is a potent tool that gives you much control over your audio.
This Instrument requires you to install the Full Version of Kontakt 5.5.2 or newer. It will not work with the free Kontakt Player. We recommend using a fast hard disk drive or an SSD for best results.
