Ground Swell is a new exploration in sound design and manipulation. It is a set of 100 patches for the Pigments instrument in Arturia’s awesome virtual synthesizer. It features an impressive range of sounds from deep and otherworldly atmospheres, to big basses perfect for electronic music production.
It was made with a desire to create something unique using all manner of sound design techniques – from granular synthesis to advanced waveform shaping. All 90 presets are instantly playable, and there’s a range of great sound effects too!
Inspiring to create new music
Most importantly though, Ground Swell is about inspiring you to create new music that is bigger than the sum of its parts.
Utilizing the new Harmonic Engine in Pigments 3 and extensive modulation of bespoke samples and their parameters. Triple Spiral Audio developed a distinct sound palette, that goes far beyond everyday sounds you would expect from the plethora of synths and sound libraries that abound.
Gritty, distorted, and radioactive in nature, the sounds were inspired by the earth’s core, pulsing back at us humans and our destructive ways.
