8DIO released Shepard Tones (named after Roger Shepard), with this new library you can generate those currently in high demand sounds, tension building sequences, and risers. You can produce Shepard sounds yourself. However, one of many aims of the 8DIO library is to get results quickly.
Installation
After purchase, you receive an email from 8Dio with a personalized and unique code to download the library. You can use for convenience the 8Dio Downloader where you enter the received serial and start the download to a location you select. After downloading I would recommend to move the unpacked files to your Kontakt library location and do a bath re-save (within Kontakt) to assure faster loading times when loading a Kontakt patch.
Sound
Shepard Tones are layered sound waves that reproduce a continuous rise in tone — to create a sensation of building tension. These tones insert you in an alerted stage and absorb you more into the movie experience. User interface & Usability
8Dio has introduced the Interface with their recent new and relaunched Hybrid Tools. I have several of those, and my findings are that the interfaced offered compared to other interfaces now available feels complicated and nowadays oldish.

Shepard Tones is a great and comprehensive riser generator for your next trailer or sound effect n your next project. It is a very usable pressure effect library which can be combined easily with others sounds in your arsenal. If you are doing action trailer or score this library helps you tremendously. You get the sounds/tone with this tool fast without having to generate Shepard Tones using different more time-consuming ways manually. Given the recent success of the latest film and trailer, your customer may request “make it sound similar to Dunkirk,” and you are made already a big step towards the required score with this tool.
